Denpasar - Pangdam IX/Udayana, Maj. Gen. TNI Sonny Aprianto, S.E., M.M., attended the Opening and Release of Peed Aya (Pawai) for the 2023 XLV Bali Arts Festival (PKB) in front of the Bajra Sandi Monument, Niti Mandala Renon Field, Denpasar, on Sunday (18/6/2023).


The opening of PKB XLV which was officially opened by the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Hj. Megawati Soekarnoputri carries the theme "Segara Kerthi Prabhaneka Sandyi Samudra Civilization".


The Opening Ceremony of the XLV PKB Festival began with remarks by the Governor of Bali followed by remarks by Prof. Dr. Hj. Megawati Soekarnoputri continued beating Kulkul (Kentongan) as a sign of the start of the PKB festival as well as releasing the PKB XLV Peed Aya (Pawai) activities in 2023.


Apart from Balinese artists, this time the PKB XLV festival was also attended by artists from outside Bali such as West Java, Central Java, DKI Jakarta, Yogyakarta, East Kalimantan and South Sulawesi and also attended by 7 (seven) countries, namely Japan, Thailand , Australia, Belgium, India, Malaysia and China.


To kick off the activities of the 45th Balinese arts party in 2023, a parade was held in the form of a procession of cultural arts from 9 (nine) Regencies/Cities in Bali.


Also present at the event included the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Minister of PUPR, Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Chairperson of the DPRD Prov. Bali, Bali Police Chief, Danrem 163/WSA and Bali Headquarters, as well as invitations from other officials. (Pendam IX/Udy)
